More Able and Gifted

STRIVE enrichment and master class programme is open to all KS3 students and is a rolling programme which begins in the summer term.  Students are invited to apply for places from a range of classes in a published programme which have previously included sessions such as exploring higher level maths topics outside of the school curriculum and designing and building a new covered seating are in the quad, as well as 'one off' workshops in Drama, Dance and Music.

In year 8,9 and 10 students will receive invites to attend workshops and master classes at Wellington College as part of our ISSP partnership.  Previous master classes have included computer science code breaking and Japanese and Mandarin.

In year 9 students can be invited to apply for a place on the Wheeler Programme run by Wellington College, this is a 5 year mentoring programme, students attend annual residential courses at Wellington with each year having a different focus for example in year 9 looking at options and potential pathways and in year 10 looking at study and revision skills.

Year 9's can also apply to be part of 'Catastophe on Campus' a term long Saturday programme run by Surrey University which provides a theme around which students explore and develop skills and understanding in Bio Medicine, Forensic Science and debating.
