Rewards

Recognising and Celebrating Positive Behaviour

At our Kings International College, we have established a robust rewards policy that serves as a testament to our commitment to nurturing the holistic development of our students. We firmly believe that recognising and rewarding exceptional achievements and positive behaviours is instrumental in fostering a thriving learning environment.

Our rewards policy revolves around three key categories: Aspiration, Resilience, and Respect. These categories embody our values and vision, emphasising the importance of cultivating ambitious goals, persevering through challenges, and embracing a culture of inclusivity and respect.

Through our rewards policy, we aim to inspire and motivate our students, as we acknowledge their outstanding contributions and empower them on their journey towards academic excellence and personal growth.

Celebrating Rewards

Our inclusive rewards system is designed to celebrate the exceptional achievements and positive behaviour of our students. At Kings, we firmly believe in recognising and acknowledging the incredible efforts of our students on a daily, weekly, termly, and yearly basis. Our rewards program aims to create a supportive and inspiring environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential.

On a daily basis, our dedicated staff members will actively observe and appreciate students who demonstrate positive behaviour through our ARR (Achievement, Respect, Resilience) points system. These points serve as a tangible recognition of their efforts and can be earned through various positive actions and attitudes. In addition, students may receive verbal praise or have positive communication sent home, ensuring that their accomplishments are shared and celebrated.

Every week during our assembly, our Year Leaders will take the opportunity to highlight outstanding achievements. They will recognise the "Tutees of the Week," nominated by their tutors, who have displayed exemplary dedication and commitment. Moreover, any additional noteworthy accomplishments, including achievements outside of our institution, will be celebrated. Throughout the term, we will also award special rewards for reaching specific ARR point thresholds, providing additional incentives and motivation.

At the end of each term, both our Year Leaders and Curriculum Leaders will carefully select a "Star Student" from each year group. These exceptional individuals will be chosen based on their outstanding performance across the various categories within their subject area or year group. Furthermore, we will honour students who have accumulated the highest number of ARR points, recognising their remarkable commitment and success.

Finally, our grand Celebration of Achievement assembly, held annually, serves as a pinnacle event where we showcase and applaud the excellent work and accomplishments of our students. This special gathering not only recognises the outstanding contributions made throughout the year but also offers a moment for our Headteacher to provide individual recognition and encouragement.

We believe that celebrating and rewarding achievements are integral to fostering a positive and inspiring learning environment. Our rewards program encourages students to strive for excellence, embrace resilience, and demonstrate respect. We invite both students and parents to actively participate in this celebration of growth and success, as we collectively support and nurture the aspirations of every student in our institution.
